Career coaching for the life you actually have

When work has to fit your real life
Most advice about choosing a job, a field, or a career is built for a person who doesn't exist. Someone with no bad days, nothing else going on, and a life that fits neatly around a 9-to-6. Real people aren't like that. There's a body, a family, a burnout you're still recovering from, a year you took off and now have to explain. So the question isn't only "what do I want to do". It's what kind of work you can actually do, grow in, and stay in over the long run - without crashing in a year and losing everything you built. I'm here to walk this road with you - because I know it from both sides, as an employer and as an employee :)
Professional background
For nine years I worked in HR at Hi-tech companies. I was on the hiring side - I read résumés, I sat in personal interviews, and I saw up close how managers think about "fit", and what really happens behind the scenes when they decide who to take on. Today I'm a rehabilitation counselor at AllGood (שכולו טוב) - the leading vocational rehabilitation service for recipients of the rehabilitation basket (סל שיקום). I support people with disabilities, people with complex health conditions - including invisible illnesses and psychiatric disabilities - on their way to work and to a life with content and meaning, and help them deal with all the different parties involved. And there's a third side too: I live with fibromyalgia and colitis myself. I know what it means to work a full day when today I only have a little energy, and to decide every morning what's worth the effort. These three sides - hiring, guiding rehabilitation, living with chronic illness - are the tools I bring with me to working with you. They also mean I don't get scared off by a complicated story. Whatever yours is.
Who it's for
This is for anyone trying to figure out what to do about work - what you actually want, what's realistic right now, and how to get from one to the other. Some of the people I work with live with a chronic illness or disability. Some don't. The questions turn out to be pretty similar.
- You want to change direction, and you have no idea where to start?
- You're coming back to work after a break - illness, parenting, a layoff, or just a long pause?
- You're already working, but it's become too much, and you need to rethink what your day looks like?
- You're living with a chronic illness or disability, and you want someone who understands both the working world and that reality?
What we work on
The goal isn't just to find a job and "get by" - it's to build a career you actually want.
- Writing a résumé that speaks for itself, gaps and all
- Getting ready for interviews - what to say, how, and what you don't have to talk about
- Finding a field or direction that fits who you are today, and growing in it
- Building a career that moves forward and reaching your goals, at a pace that works for you
- Asking for what you need at work - a raise, a change, accommodations - without feeling awkward
- Building a long-term work routine - not for your best day, but for an ordinary one
- Dealing with managers, the team, and the system when things get complicated
